Robert Saleh Wants 'Grace' for Cam Ward, and Titans Fans Should Hear Him Out

Titans Country, one win doesn't fix everything, but it sure changes the tone of the week.

Robert Saleh told Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated that Cam Ward "needs some grace," per Yardbarker, and asked for time for the second-year quarterback to learn "a completely new offense with completely new players and completely new coaches." Saleh added that Ward is "too talented" and "works too hard" to fail.

The numbers are why people keep asking. Ward went 11-of-22 for 102 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 26-20 win at Indianapolis, per Yardbarker, and CBS Sports noted he was 3-19 as a starter after the 0-5 start.

Our Take: Saleh is right. CBS made the case last week that Ward is not the only problem on this team, and benching a former No. 1 overall pick in Year 2 would teach us nothing about him.

What to watch: whether Ward pushes the ball downfield Sunday at Nissan Stadium against the 4-2 Browns. Titan Up.
