Saleh Won't Panic at 0-5 — and the Offensive Line Is Still the Identity

Titans fans are screaming for answers after a 26-3 thrashing by Houston. Robert Saleh is not joining the panic parade.

Our Take: Wholesale changes this early would be theater. The real fix is the trench work Saleh said defined this offense in camp, and Sunday in Indianapolis is the first chance to prove Houston was a step back, not the new normal.

Per Titans.com's Jim Wyatt, Saleh told reporters Monday that "when you make wholesale changes … you are showing a sign of panic" and that the team is "in game five of year one." He called Sunday "shitty, for a lack of a better word," then drew a hard line: it was a step back for the entire offense, not just Cam Ward. Ward was sacked four times and hit seven. Saleh said the line "was nowhere near good enough to be qualified as a NFL offensive line" that day, but also that it had been their most consistent offensive piece for four weeks and that "the identity of our offense is going to run through our offensive line."

What we want in Indy: early run success, clean pockets, and third-down execution that doesn't look like last Sunday. Titan Up.
